Welcome to Into The Willows - an independent brand dedicated to designing and creating a wide range of beautiful, one-of-a-kind items. Some of which can be personalised and made-to-order.
My key custom-made products are miniature wedding dress replicas and personalized wedding stationery/items. I also offer ready-to-buy dolls miniatures and a variety of giftware & accessories. However if there is anything specific you would like me to make, please contact me directly with any of your queries or requests.
All items are lovingly designed and handcrafted here at the studio in Glasgow. I try to be as sustainable as possible, utilizing what I can with little waste; upcycling, using and sourcing scraps of fabrics, threads or trims on many of the brand's miniatures and giftware items.
MEET THE CREATOR
Hey! I'm Samantha/Sammie, the owner/designer/crafter of Into The Willows. Here's a bit about myself and the brand origin...
As part of a creative family, I tried variety of arts and crafts from
a young age, including my Nana teaching me to sew clothes for my Bratz & Barbie dolls as a child. That was when I decided that I wanted to study fashion, which I eventually did for 6 years.
Upon graduating I had my own shop/studio space where I made ready-to-wear clothing/accessories, made-to-order occasion wear such as bridesmaid/prom and offered alteration services.
Growing up in Yorkshire and looking for a new adventure, I moved to Glasgow in 2014 and began my decade long career as a multi product, fashion designer for industry. However I longed to start making things and finding more personal creativity again, this led me to start Into The Willows. With 18 years experience in all things fashion design & sewing, I wanted to create a brand and products that utilize these skills, mixed with my own passions, creative style and the desire for something a little unique.
With a nod to my origins of making dolls clothes and love of occasion wear/bridal, I had the idea of miniature dress replicas. I also wanted to offer dolls clothing/homeware (because I just love miniature things) and a variety of giftware items, using my experience in design and trend work, mixed with my own inspirations taken from nature and architecture.
I've taken the plunge to pursue this full time and I am so excited to share my passion with you all. Hope you love it as much as I do!
